BCCI Nominates Rohit Sharma & Sikhar Dhawan for National Awards
The BCCI has nominated, Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma for the Khel Ratna Awards for his consistent performances across the limited over formats for team India, over the past few years.
Rohit Sharma who has been in excellent form ever since the 2015 World Cup, is only second to Virat Kohli, in terms of runs scored in ODI cricket since then.
The BCCI also nominated Ishant Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and Deepti Sharma, for the Arjuna award.

Ishant, one of the senior cricketers in the team, has been one of the driving factors for team India’s run at the number one spot of the ICC Test rankings. He holds the records for most wickets taken by an Indian bowler outside Asia in International games.
Shikhar Dhawan on the other hand has been excellent in the limited-overs formats for the team. He has performed consistently for the team in ICC events and holds the record for the fastest Indian batsman to reach 2000 and 3000 runs in ODI cricket.
Deepti Sharma is a world-class all-rounder and holds the record for the highest score by an Indian cricketer in Women’s ODI cricket.
