Suresh Raina Wants BCCI To Allow Indian Players To Participate in Foreign Cricket T20 leagues

Indian cricketer Player Suresh Raina has commented that “the BCCI should not prevent non-contracted players from participating in foreign T20 Cricket leagues”. Currently, the BCCI is the only international board, that prevents its players, contracted or not, from participating in foreign T20 Cricket League competitions.

Only, a handful of Indian Cricket Team Players like Sehwag and Yuvraj have ever participated in foreign T20 Cricket leagues, that too after retirement.

Speaking on the matter, Suresh Raina commented that “non-contracted Cricket players like himself, rely only on the Indian Cricket League that is Indian Premier League as the main source of their revenue, he commented that since the pool of players available for different teams in the IPL is large, it would only be a matter of time before franchise decided to dump older players in favor of young talent”.

Suresh Raina Cricketer commented that “allowing such players to participate in a foreign Cricket League, at least in a limited capacity, would allow them to remain fit and learn new things”.

He commented that “this would allow players to prove their worth to different teams so that they can remain relevant in the sport”. Suresh Raina made these comments in an online interview with former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan.
