West Indies cricketer Jason Holder, has commented that “the West Indies team decided to tour England because they are trying to bring back things to normalcy after the COVID-19 break”,

Holder commented that their decision to tour England was not based on monetary gains or a sense of adventure.

Speaking on the matter of Normalcy to Cricket:

Jason Holder commented that “the team did not want to be the first to start playing cricket after the COVID-19 break as there was still a danger of players getting infected”.

However, he commented that “since the West Indies had already planned on coming to England during the summer, the team decided to go through with the series.”

Holder also stated that “the efforts from the side of the ECB to maintain a safe playing environment for the players, also provided the players with some peace of mind, as the chance of getting infected while playing in bio-secure venues is very little”.

Currently, the West Indies team is in England, the team will remain in an isolation period of three weeks before they start training for the Test series Stygian England.
