-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said late Monday he is willing to negotiate with the Palestinians on the basis of U.S. President Donald Trump’s Mideast “peace plan.”
According to Netanyahu, many Arab countries hope that Israel and Palestine will begin negotiations. At the same time, in his opinion, the annexation of part of the West Bank will not be an obstacle to peace.
According to the politician, the extension of Israeli sovereignty to Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) in any future peace agreement ‘does not reduce the chances of reaching peace, but increases them.’
