Eoin Morgan Feels That The Time is Not Right For Alex Hales to Return to The Team
English cricketer Alex Hales, who was eyeing to make a comeback into the national team, after more than a year’s time, has suffered a major setback, in the form of his former captain Eoin Morgan. Morgan, earlier this week, had commented that “it was too early for Hales to return to the side, and that it would take some more time for Hales to regain the trust of his colleagues”.
Speaking on the matter, Eoin Morgan commented that “everyone in the English team knows that Hales is a good player and that there is no question regarding his ability on the field”, however, he stated that “his action’s off the field are not in line with the values of the team”. With the T20 World Cup, just around the corner, many had speculated that Hales might return to the team.
Alex Hales is one of the best T20 players in the English team. He is coming into the season after enjoying an excellent run in the domestic circuits, as well as other international T20 tournaments. Earlier last month, Chris Woakes another English cricketer had backed Hales, commenting that, it was time for the opener to return to the team.
