ECB Announce Skill-Based Training Sessions For Senior Cricketers

The ECB has announced that they will be beginning individual skill-based training for the senior players, starting from next week. This move is part of a broader approach from the ECB to get cricket back on its feet again, in the country.

The professional since for cricket in England is currently in lockdown and is expected to remain so until the first week of July. The ECB was allowed to initiate training programs for the players after they came up with a safety plan, that was developed along with the government of the UK.

During the training program, all social distancing protocols will be followed and medical practitioners will be constantly observing the progress of the players, to ensure their safety. The first leg of the training program is set to focus on bowlers, this first leg will stretch for two weeks, following which the batsman and the wicketkeepers will have a chance to train.
