Ben Stokes comments that cricket behind closed doors

Ben Stokes comments that cricket behind closed doors makes the most sense at this point in time.
English cricketer Ben Stokes, has commented that “international cricket will not lose its appeal, even if it is played behind closed doors”. Stokes has commented that “he does not mind if cricket turns into a television only sport for the next few months”, due to the stoppage in play brought about the Coronavirus outbreak. These measures are expected to bring the sport back as soon as the lockdown is lifted. Speaking on the matter, Stokes commented that, “it would be odd, for the cricketers, to play in front of empty stadiums however he feels that over time, everyone would be get adjusted to the situation”. He commented that “getting cricket back on TV is the best thing to do at present as this allows for both the cricketers and the fans to get into the mix of things”. Stokes is not the only one, who feels that cricket behind the closed doors is the best option, his teammate Jos Buttler has also come out in support of holding the sport behind closed doors. In any case, the sport will be in lockdown in England till at least the first of July which is the cutoff date that has been announced by the ECB for professional cricket.
