West Indies Dire Straits
The West Indies cricket board which was already in dire financial situation, due to mismanagement, is looking forwards to citing salaries to reduce its losses during this time. Currently several of the team’s upcoming tours, have been put on hold.
The team was set to tour England in June, however since the ECB decided to stop all professional cricket till the first week of July, both the boards were forced to postpone the tournament to an undecided date for this reason. The final date for this series is yet to be decided.
Tour of England, New Zealand
Following the tour of England, New Zealand was set to tour the West Indies later in July, for a limited-overs series, however, the fate of this series is also undecided at present, and will more likely also get postponed.
