Turkish Drama Dirilis Ertugrul in Urdu making trends in Pakistan

The world’s most famous Turkish drama is now broadcasting in Pakistan with Urdu translation and social media trends are telling that this Turkish drama Dirilis Ertugrul is becoming a most favorite among the peoples of Pakistan.

This Turkish drama Erugrul was made by Turkish government media TR with the help of a local company and was translated in many languages for different countries and this is also available on Netflix in different languages.

The director of TRT’s Digital Turkish Radio and TV Riaz Manti heads the TRT team also helped the PTV Channel to bring this drama in Pakistan for Pakistan’s audience.

The host of BBC Urdu program Serbian, Alia Nazki spoke to the director of TRT and tried to find out how difficult it was to adapt the drama in Pakistan and whether they are happy with this popularity in Pakistan or not.

Riaz Manti said that the show was already popular nationally but after coming to Netflix in English and Arabic subtitles it becomes more popular across the world. He says that the translation of Turkish drama Dirilis Ertugrul in Urdu was already planned because they have trust that peoples who spoke the Urdu language will love to watch this Turkish Dirilis Ertugrul drama in Urdu translation.

He says that Dirilis Ertugural got his position in the whole world internationally. The president posted the photos of Dirilis Ertugrul and the famous actors came to the set to meet the entire team of Dirilis Ertugrul. Dirilis Ertugrul cafes began to open in countries such as South Africa and the UK until the peoples started coming to turkey only for Dirilis Ertugrul’s historical tours.

This drama got a positive cultural impact, After the success of Netflix, his team decided to upload the Turkish Dirilis Ertugrul drama in different languages. They started the dubbing with English and Arabic and now the drama is released in Spanish, Russian and some of its episodes in Kiswahili.

He says that the Turkish dramas are already popular in the world and after the English language their dramas are most watched internationally.
