The Indian Cricket Team Willing To undergo Quarantine Procedures During The Tour of Australia

The BCCI has announced that the Indian Cricket Team is willing to remain in the mandatory 15 day quarantine period before their tour of Australia if the tour ends up taking place later this year.

The current situation with the Coronavirus outbreak had forced the Australian government to impose a six-month travel ban in the country.

Additionally, the government also imposed a 15-day quarantine policy for all persons entering the country. This means that any Cricket Team that enters the country during this period, needs to go through a 15 day quarantine period where they will be forced to remain at one location. After this time is all the players test negative for the virus, then they will be allowed back into the country.

Earlier a member of Cricket Australia had commented that the Indian Cricket Team could be granted access to the newly constructed Adelaide Oval Hotel during their time of Quarantine. The hotel would provide the players with all the training facilities that they need to remain fit.

However it remains to be seen if the series could go ahead as planned this year itself, or it ends up being pushed back due to Covid-19.
