Shoiab Akhtar Slams The ICC For Destroying The Balance of Cricket Game
Former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has commented that “he feels that the ICC has been destroying cricket for the past 10 years and that they have brought the sport to its knees, during this time”. Shoaib Akhtar commented that “the game now heavily favours the batsman and that, the ICC should look into making some changes so that the balance between bat and ball is restored”.
Shoaib Akthar commented that the “ICC should increase the number of bouncers, that bowlers are allowed to bowl each over”. He commented that “since two new balls are available for each ODI game, and four fielders are always present outside the circle, this move would make sense”.
Shoaib Akhtar made these comments during an online interview with former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar.
Reminiscing over his fabled rivalry with former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Shoaib Akhtar commented that “Tendulkar was the only batsman, against whom he would not show aggression”. Shoaib Akhtar commented that “the main reason for this was because he respected Tendulkar”. He stated that “most of the time he would try to out-think
Tendulkar to get his wicket”.
