Now Sachin Tendulkar Settles Lawsuit with Bat Manufacturer Spartan.
Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has reportedly settled his lawsuit, with Australian bat manufacturing company Spartan. Sachin had filed a lawsuit against the company claiming that Spartan was using his image to promote their products after his contract with the company had expired.
Tendulkar has signed an agreement with Spartan in 2016, for promoting the company’s products. However the contract between the two parties came to an end in 2018 and since then, Tendulkar has been not associated with the company.
However, Sachin alleged that Spartan contained to use his image and likeness to promote their products after the contract had ended. For this reason, Sachin filed a lawsuit, claiming royalties for his services.
Speaking on the matter, a spokesperson from Spartan issued an official statement issued an apology from the company towards Sachin, for failing to honor the contract that they had between them.
The Spokesperson also commented that “Spartan has been barred from using Sachin to promoted their products and that the company had to officially acknowledge their contract with Tendulkar terminated in 2018”.
