Power struggle in CSA Continues with Moroe Announcing his Return
Former Cricket South Africa CEO, Thabang Moroe who was ousted from his post in the CSA has announced that “he has returned to the board, and will be taking charge of his post shortly”.
However, members of CSA have refuted his claims commenting that “Moroe will remain suspended until the ongoing forensic investigations into his management practices come to a conclusion”.
Moroe who was suspended in December of last year, and is to remain in suspension until the conclusion of the investigation.
Members of the CSA stated that “there was no endpoint to Moroe’s suspension and that he will remain out of his post until the independent investigation is complete”.
The CSA has also reported that the investigation may come to an end very soon.
It is expected that once the board receives the report, they will study it and take disciplinary action against Moroe accordingly.
The investigation is expected to arrive at a conclusion before the end of June.
More on the other hand, despite his suspension, is still retains his monthly salary with the board. He is currently earning $20,000 per month.
