PCB gets go-ahead for tour of England cric tracker

 

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has given clearance to the PCB, for their upcoming tour of England. The tour would consist of Test as well as T20 series. Khan, who himself was a former cricketer for the team commented that “the people of Pakistan wanted to see sport activities resume”.

He also cautioned the PCB on ensuring that the safety of the players was not compromised at any cost. Pakistan is set start their tour of England from later this month, when they reach the country. After reaching England, the entire team and the support staff will remain in a 14 days of isolation.

Following this the players will remain in isolation for another three to four weeks, when they can being their training. During this time they can have net session and practice games among themselves.

The entire tour consists of three Test and three T20 games. In total the Pakistan squad will consist of 29 players and 14 support staff. Besides allowing the tour to take place Imran Khan also instructed the PCB that “they should not terminate the services of any staff involved with the PCB, to prevent losses due to COVID-19, as the economic forecast for the coming months was not favorable”.
