PCB Announces Pay Hike for Contracted Women’s Cricketers in The Country.
The Pakistan cricket board has made several sweeping changes in the support staff for the Women’s national team as well as the setup for Women’s cricket in the country.
According to reports, the board has terminated the services of head coach Iqbal Imam, however, it has decided to retain Bismah Maroof as the captain of the side for the 2020-2021 season.
The board has also increased the financial benefits that are available for female cricketers, in a bid to promote Women’s cricket in the country, and support players who are interested in the sport.
The board announced pay rises for all three categories of contracted players. Category A players will receive a 33% rise in contract revenue and Category B and C will see a hike of 30 and 25% each.
The PCB is also increasing the match fee for players by 100% it is also increasing daily domestic allowance of cricketers by 50%.
Some quality of life changes were also announced by the board, including business class flights for the team, when the total duration of the journey is greater than five hours. The board is yet to name a replacement for the head coach spot.
