Of the total 101 players with national contracts, only these five players failed to upload their required documentation.

Speaking on the matter, NADA Director General commented that “the BCCI had sent NADA an explanation regarding the failure of its players to upload documents, and that it was a reasonable explanation”.

The BCCI in their statement had explained that a password glitch in the ADAMS (Anti Doping Administration & Management Systems) software was the main reason for this shortcoming.

Despite the BCCI’s explanation it the NADA will hold an official hearing regarding the matter.

If NADA rules against the players then it would count towards violation of the anti-doping rules.

If players pick up three counts of violation for the failure of disclosing location, then they could be suspended for a period of up to two years.

It still remains to be seen how the BCCI will handle the situation if it escalates further.
