Lance Klusener Appointed as Director of cricket for the Bangla Tigers Franchise
Former South African cricketer and current head coach for the Afghanistan National cricket team, Lance Klusener has been appointed as the director of cricket, for the T10 league franchise Bangla Tigers, which is a part of the Abu Dhabi based tournament.
The team has surprised everyone in the last season finishing third on the points table by the end of the tournament. Lance Klusener, an experienced international campaigner has played in a total of 220 international games, has scored more than 5000 runs, and picked up 272 wickets throughout his career.
Since his retirement from cricket, he has taken up the role of coaching for sides like Zimbabwe and South Africa. Speaking on the matter, Mohammad Yeasin Chowdhury the chairman for the team commented that “the addition of Kluser to the side with helping them this season”. He commented that “this move was made with the aim of making the Bangla Tigers, one of the strongest teams in the tournament”. He stated that “Klusners experience as a cricketer and a coach, will guide the team in the right direction, for the coming seasons”.
The next edition of the T10 Cricket League tournament is scheduled to start in mid-November and is expected to remain unaffected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
