Jagdeep Funeral: Jaaved Jaaferi addresses media; says,
“We are overwhelmed by the love showered on him”
Actor Jagdeep breathed his last at his Bandra residence on July 8. The 81-year-old actor died due to age-related issues. The legendary actor was laid to rest at a cemetery in south Mumbai. His sons Jaaved & Naved and grandson Meezaan J were seen performing his last rites.
At the funeral, Jaaved even spoke to the gathered paparazzi. The actor humbly addressed the media persons and thanked them all for attending his father’s funeral. He even requested everyone present to pray for the departed soul.
He further added, “Due to the situation, we weren’t able to respond to everyone’s messages personally. My father has given 70 years to this industry and we can see all the love that is being showered on him. For all the contribution of my father, I would just request you all to offer a small prayer for the departed soul and for that we all will be very grateful. Thank you.”
Jagdeep started his career as a child artiste at the tender age of 9. Later he went on to carve a niche for himself as a comedian par excellence in Hindi film industry. He has around 400 films to his credit, ‘Sholay’ being the most memorable one.
