BCB Launches App to Keep Track of Player Health
The Bangladesh cricket board has announced that they have developed an app that will allow their players to keep track of the symptoms associated with COVID-19.
So, far three cricketers from Bangladesh have been tested positive for COVID-19.
The BCB with the app aims at preventing any more instances of infection, through constant monitoring of the health of the players.
Speaking on the matter, Nizamuddin Chowdhury the chief of the BCB, commented that “the app will allow the board to keep track of player health”, with this app the BCB aims to bring all its players under one umbrella.

However, initially, the app will be only available to nationally contracted players. This includes players from the men’s team, the women’s team as, well as the World Cup-winning Under 19 team.
However, the BCB is reportedly planning on expanding the services of the app, to support staff and non contracted players as well, in the coming months.
Recently as many as two tours involving Bangladesh have been pushed back to later dates, due to the COVID-19 situation.
The includes Test match series against New Zealand and Sri Lanka, both of which were scheduled to be held in the coming months.
