Adam Zampa to Play for NSW in the coming season

Australian cricketer Adam Zampa has reportedly signed a deal with the New South Wales team for participating in domestic cricket for the next season.

Zampa previously represented the South Australia team in domestic cricket for the past six years.

He had initially made his debut for NSW however changed teams over the years. Zampa is reportedly looking to get into Australia’s Test outfit, with this move.

Zampa, who has played more than 100 international games for Australia, is yet to make his debut for the Australian Test side.

While at NSW, he would be partnering up with Nathan Lyon, Australia’s premier Test spinner, and replacing Steve O’Keefe who recently retired.

NSW is also home to other Australian players like Pat Cummins, Josh Hazelwood and David Warner among others.

Speaking on the matter, Zampa commented that “he was excited to return to his home team, with whom he played his junior cricket with”.

He stated that “he was looking forward to playing in the Sheffield Shield tournament, and was looking forward to sharing the dressing room with Nathan Lyon”.

Phil Jacques, the coach for the NSW team commented that “the management was happy to have someone as experienced as Zampa in the side”.
