West Indies in control, at end of play on day-2 against England

West Indies end day-2 of the first Test against England, on a score of 57-1, currently they trail the English team by a margin of 147 runs. The second day was a much more typical affair, with minimal interruption from rain, unlike the first, day where only 17 overs of play was possible.

The day saw, England continue on with their innings and being bowled out before tea. West Indies then took to the crease, losing just one wicket for the remainder of the day. England, began the day on a score of 35-1, they ended up putting together a total of 204, before being bowled out. Stokes, who is leading the team for the first Test, top-scored with an innings of 43. Buttler(35), Bess(31) and Burns(30) also got off to good starts, but were unable to stay at the crease for long.

Jason Holder was the pick of the West Indies bowlers, he ended with figures of 6-42. Gabriel picked up the remaining four wickets. West Indies, took to the field, in the post-lunch session. Their innings got off to a good start with a 43 run stand between Brathwaite(20) and Campbell(28). However Cambell got dismissed just before the end of play. Brathwaite and Hope(3) are still at the crease for the team, at end of play. James Anderson picked up the only wicket that fell during the innings. He ended the day with figures of 1-17.
