Lahore: Three Pakistani players, who were named as a part of the squad set to tour England, in the coming month, have tested positive for COVID-19, the players in question include Haris Rauf, Haider Ali and Shadab Khan.
All three players were reported to be asymptomatic. The PCB is currently waiting for the Test results of the remaining players as well.
The results of two other players Usman Shinwari and Imad Wasim had returned negative, so these players so they will go ahead with the schedule without any changes.
The PCB has advised all three players who tested positive to go into self-isolation
as soon as possible. As these players have been tested as positive, the board will need to name replacements for them in the coming week.
Haider Ali is the youngest player among the lot to pick up the infection, he has represented the Pak side in the Under-19 World Cup and was set to make his international debut this series.
Rauf on the other hand was coming into the series after having played the Big Bash League.
Shadab Khan while is the most experienced of the three having represented the team in 88 games so far.
