Former Australian cricketer Peter Siddle has signed a two-year contract with the Tasmanian tigers. Siddle who used to play for Victoria, in domestic cricket was a part of the Victoria, side for more than 15 years.
Peter Siddle has also played for the Australian national team mostly in Test cricket, he has played 67 Tests and picked up 221 wickets throughout his career. Peter Siddle had announced his retirement from international cricket in 2019.
Speaking on the matter, Peter Siddle commented that “he was looking forward to playing some good cricket, with his new team, and that he was also looking to improve his coaching skills as well”.Peter Siddle previously was part of the Victoria side in domestic cricket, he joined the team in 2005 and has appeared in 62 games for the team.
Siddle was also part of the Victoria team, that won the Sheffield Shield title twice. In the previous domestic season, Siddle was the fourth-highest wicket-taker across all teams, with 32 wickets to his name. The Tasmania side is sure to benefit from his inclusion in the side.
Additionally, Siddle could also fill in the shoes of George Bailey, who left the team, after being appointed as a part of the selection panel for cricket Australia.

“[My drive] is the love of the game, as silly as it sounds,” Peter Siddle said.
“If I didn’t enjoy it, I definitely wouldn’t be turning up to bowl 40-50 overs in a first-class game.”
