Indian cricketer Ashok Dinda has revealed that “he will not be representing his home state of West Bengal for the upcoming season of the Ranji Trophy”.
The main reason for him leaving the team was disagreements with the coaching staff, which led to him, being left out of the team, for the most part of the previous season.
It was earlier reported that Dinda had a serious altercation with Ranadeb Bose, the bowling coach for the team. Dinda has been with the West Bengal side since 2015, in total he has represented the side in 14 seasons of the Ranji Trophy.
In total, he has played 116 first-class games for the team picking up 420 wickets with an average under 29. He is also the leading wicket-taker for the team, in the Ranji Trophy with 339 wickets from 90 games.
Speaking on the matter, Dinda commented that “the main reason that he was leaving the team was because of his disagreements with the coaching staff”.
